As the horseless carriage came of age, so did rural mail delivery. Bert Drips carried mail for rural Haddam, Kansas from 1904 until he retired on March 1, 1934.

Shown above is a picture of Bert Drips just prior to his 1934 retirement. Note the large leather mail pouch.
