Cost
of a lot
at Haddam City Cemetery is $500.
Lot will accommodate four
graves.
One-half a lot is $300.
Will
accommodate two graves.
Of interest to the publice is that
a burial area was opened to the public
several years ago that had reviously been unavailable.
The cemetery map at the bottom of this page reflects that area which is
directly east of the circle. This
area was
previously a drive though path. Contact the city office for specifics.
Each
Memorial Day weekend an "Avenue of Flags" happens when flags are placed
on the flagpoles
that line the driveways
through the Haddam Cemetery. Each flag honors someone that served
our country at one time or another.
Several servicemen, that
made the ultimate sacrifice, have markers/stones as their remains never
returned to Haddam. Markers/stones to honor and remember them have been
placed beside their
family in most cases.
